We Change Lives by Providing Opportunities for Success
The Foundation is dedicated to providing alternative financial support for students and staff. To assist students, the Foundation raises money for scholarships, special awards, and emergency loans. The Foundation also provides support for staff professional development activities to allow Southwest Tech staff to continue their education in their field. In addition, the Foundation is dedicated to improving and enhancing the educational experiences of all students. The Foundation accepts in-kind gifts of equipment, supplies, and resources to assist Southwest Tech in providing the highest educational opportunities possible. Support from our staff and our community make this possible.
In addition, the Foundation participants in a number of programs, including student housing. The student housing complex consists of 28 apartment style units which provides approximately 60 students with a place to reside while attending the Southwest Tech.
The Foundation exists solely for Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. The Foundation will only be as strong as the support it receives. In the past ten years, the Foundation has undergone a major reorganization. The Foundation has seen a tremendous growth, from assets of under $200,000 in 1996 to over $1,600,000 in 2009. This growth is a direct result of staff and community support.
