Accommodations Statement

 

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made to ensure access to academic programs, services, and employment in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA)standards. Applicants with disabilities who need accommodations to take the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) or the Health Education Systems, Inc (HESI) entrance exams for Southwest Tech must contact Student Services (Ext. 2354) to schedule their testing appointment. Applicants requesting extended time, large print forms, audio versions, or a personal room for taking the TABE or HESI because of a disability must provide documentation to support their request prior to scheduling a date for testing. Southwest Tech reviews accommodation requests case by case. All documentation submitted to the College is subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended.
