Marketing is critical to the success of every organization--whether large or small, profit or nonprofit, product or service oriented. To provide quality customer service, these organizations must identify and research target markets, determine customer needs, and establish how products and services can most effectively be distributed, priced and promoted. Graduates of the Marketing program have found a wide variety of positions including inside and outside sales representatives, sales managers, order analysts, store managers, sales promotion assistants, survey research supervisors, telemarketing managers, advertising counselors and parts managers.
The marketing program is an associate degree program that prepares students for a career in the broad field of marketing. Students will learn the core principles of marketing and develop skills in marketing research, promotion, advertising, and sales. They will explore the newest marketing tools, including social media. In addition, the program’s flexibility allows students to tailor their education toward preparation for small business management, sales, and/or marketing publications.

Technical Skill Attainment
This TSA (Technical Skill Attainment) scoring guide will be used to document your attainment of technical program outcomes for the Marketing Degree. To meet the requirements on the scoring guide, you will be asked to draw upon the skills and concepts that have been developed throughout the program and are necessary for successful employment in your field. Results will be used to inspire continual improvement of teaching and learning in Wisconsin Technical College System. In addition, this assessment will provide feedback to you about your performance.
