Enrollment

Deadline for Enrollment

Programs and classes will vary as to the latest date for enrollment. Students should check with a counselor as to the latest date that they may start a program/class.

January Enrollment

Students may begin certain programs or classes at the beginning of second semester. Because not all classes are offered every semester, students starting in January may not be able to complete their program in the traditional one or two years.

Continuous Enrollment

Academic programs at Southwest Tech undergo frequent changes in curriculum.

Generally, students are allowed to graduate following the program curriculum in place at the time of the student’s initial enrollment.

Because of frequent program changes and the length of time being taken by students to meet their graduation requirements, the following policies will govern which curriculum will be used to meet graduation requirements:

  • The College may, after a break in enrollment, require the student to follow the most recent program curriculum in order to graduate.
  • The College reserves the right to place a five (5) year limit on accepting courses for graduation.
  • The College reserves the right to establish course substitutions when courses are inactivated in order to meet program curriculum requirements.

All classes are not offered every semester.

Summer Classes

A variety of classes are offered during the summer that are designed to assist both program requirements and basic academic skills. Summer school brochures are available in April.

Youth Options

High school juniors and seniors may concurrently enroll in Southwest Tech courses. Interested secondary students should contact their respective high school district office for details.
