What were you wearing? Exhibit

Red shirt and sneakers on a hangerWhat Were You Wearing? is an art exhibit based on student-survivor descriptions of the clothes they were wearing during their sexual assault. These stories were collected from survivors by Jen Brockman and Dr. Mary Wyandt-Hiebert at the University of Arkansas in 2013. The exhibit curators have interpreted and recreated these outfits based on these survivors’ experiences. As you navigate the exhibit, you will be able to view our interpretations of the outfits and listen to voice actors read the survivors’ accounts. Please take time to learn about the exhibit’s history and intent, and find support and advocacy resources for survivors and allies.

Below you will find an online-viewable platform to experience the exhibit. Simply click on the flipgrid recording to see and hear what survivors were wearing during their experience.
