Southwest Tech Student Delivers Free Resources To Those In Need
Paige Johnston, a student in the Nonprofit Leadership program at Southwest Tech, has been busy this summer. She bought a camper, but instead of camping she started The Boundless Trailer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Through the trailer, Paige helps combat poverty and assists when natural disasters strike. She offers support and distributes everyday items, such as clothing and toiletries to those in need.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫!
It was a great day for agriculture, collaboration and community at yesterday's 2026 Silage Chipper Day, held at Reddy Feed & Grain in Stitzer.
Area producers had the opportunity to bring in corn silage samples for moisture testing and receive same-day results; valuable information as they prepare for the upcoming harvest. There were 121 samples, with an average moisture of 73.4 percent. The highest was 80 percent and the lowest was 63.3 percent.
A big thank you to all the partners who helped make today possible: Nutrien Ag Solutions-Stitzer, Reddy Feed & Grain LLC, Rock River Laboratory, Inc. and the Grant County Cattlemen, who prepared complimentary steak sandwiches for attendees. We were thrilled to be part of the day.
Events like Chipper Day are a great example of our area's agricultural community working together to provide producers with resources, information and support.
