Note to Staff From President, Jason S. Wood, Ph.D. – Nov 25, 2020

Dear College Family and Friends,

Please enjoy the holidays with your family and friends.  Please join me in stepping away from work, if at all possible, to be grateful and enjoy the company of loved ones albeit probably fewer in number this year.  There is no way for us to all know the individual circumstances of others.  We are aware there are people among us who are hurting, grieving, or suffering more now than in years past which breaks my heart.  If you need something this weekend, or ever, please let me know and I’ll do my very best to help.  I sincerely and deeply hope you can each receive the strength you need to heal, to rejuvenate, and to be blessed.

My essential gratitudes this year are more focused and meaningful to me than in years passed.  I am thankful for my faith which gives me hope I can help others and courage to do what is right.  I am eternally grateful for Kathryn, my very best friend, and our shared commitment to each of our wonderful daughters.  And, finally, I am thankful to serve the college and our communities with you.  Please know I will think about each of you individually this weekend as I step away from “work” and simply count my blessings for your sacrifices and efforts to help our students be successful.

May you and yours receive abundantly the purest intentions of your hearts this holiday season as I know you give so much to others in many different ways.

Take care,

Jason
