Update From Katie Glass, Executive Director of Marketing and Public Information Officer – Dec 1, 2020
Good afternoon,
In response to the continued management of COVID-19 at Southwest Tech, temperature screenings will be performed for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors upon entering Southwest Tech’s facilities. Temperature screenings have been embedded into Southwest Tech’s Return to Campus Plan, which has been in place in all campus facilities, including outreach centers, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The campus community may experience a line or queue at entrances, where signage indicates a required temperature screening using an infrared thermometer. The college will station employees and security to take temperatures. If we screen you with a temperature greater than 100.4º F, you will be asked to return home without entering the Southwest Tech property. Students, faculty, and staff will then follow the plan to notify campus officials.
