Students help peers with winter vehicle checks
Fennimore -The first-ever Winterize Your Wheels event is being held this week on campus. A partnership between Student Senate and the Automotive Technician program is benefitting students heading into the winter driving season.
Runde Chevrolet is serving as the industry partner. Students scheduled 15-minute appointments with Automotive Technician students, where their vehicles will receive a winter service check (tire pressure, headlights, etc.), including wiper blade replacements, a winter emergency kit, and jumper cables. The emergency kit also included a First Aid kit, flashlight, strobe, and non-perishable snacks. All appointments for the week were booked within 30 minutes of the event’s announcement.
