Why did you choose your program?
One of my favorite things about being a nurse is contributing to the health and well-being of my community. It is important to me to have a career that makes my community better and nursing allows me to do that.
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
I enjoyed SWTC because there was always support when I needed it. From the variety of programs in the Knox to supportive instructors, I knew I had the support I needed to succeed in the nursing program.
Where will you be employed?
Mayo Clinic Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
What will be your job title and responsibilities?
My job title will be Registered Nurse. I will be responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient education, and transitions of care. This inpatient medical unit provides care for adult patients with cardiac, oncology, neurology, substance withdrawal, and several other medical diagnoses.
