How did Southwest Tech prepare you for your current position? By providing me with the tools and skills needed to do repair work on new farm machinery and older machinery with hands-on training.
Why did you choose your field of study? My dad has always done his own maintenance on his semis or other heavy duty equipment, so I always was there to help him even just doing basic work to helping engine overhauls.
What advice would you have for other students thinking about advancing their education? Don’t take shortcuts. Go the extra mile. It’ll help in the long run. Do the work, take notes in class, and pay close attention to details.
