Ag Instructor Receives Midwest Recognition

Pete Hoffman to attend invite-only Midwest Agricultural Mechanics Instructors Conference

Fennimore, WI -

On February 8-9, 2017 Pete Hoffman, Ag Power and Equipment Technician instructor at Southwest Tech, will attend the Midwest Agricultural Mechanics Instructors Conference in Orland Park, IL.  Attendance to this conference is exclusively open to those nominated by Wisconsin’s agricultural education leadership.  The focus of the conference is to allow industry and educational representatives to connect and learn about integrating and executing safety measures in labs and classrooms in the agricultural mechanics field.

Southwest Tech’s Ag Power and Equipment Technician two-year program accepts up to 22 incoming student’s each year who learn the theory, operation, and repair of a variety of tillage, planting, and harvesting equipment, as well as tractors. Students study diesel engines, drive trains, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
