Karsen Haag is a 2015 Southwest Tech graduate. She is currently working at Virhada Holsteins Inc., the family farm in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Her experience in the Dairy Herd Management and Agribusiness programs, as well as serving as a Student Ambassador at Southwest Tech, have served her well. “I’ve taken everything back to the farm, to help us overcome obstacles, how to make things easier on the farm,” she said.
The recent COVID-19 situation has resulted in some difficult discussions on the farm. “We’ve had more conversations about things you would never think dairy farmers would have to talk about,” she said.
