Medical Lab Tech Students Tour Wisconsin Red Cross

On November 3rd a group of Medical Lab Tech students toured the Madison American Red Cross.

Southwest Tech MLT Students Visit the Wisconsin American Red Cross

Southwest Tech students are fortunate to have instructors who combine lectures, hands-on lab, and off-campus experiences that best prepare students for a career in their field.  Medical Lab Technician students visited the American Red Cross in Madison, WI on November 3, 2016 for a behind-the-scenes tour.  Included in the tour was seeing the processing of donated blood, handling of materials to the outlying hospitals, and how the reference laboratory resolves difficult testing issues.  All of these experiences granted our students a peek into the day-to-day lives of a Medical Lab Technician professional.
