Fennimore, Wisconsin -On Monday April 2, 2018 members of the Southwest Tech Criminal Justice Studies student organization, the Blue Line Club, volunteered to prepare and serve a meal, color Easter eggs, and spend time with children at a Family Advocates shelter site. The students provided all of the meal items, and did a great job preparing and serving dinner. At the end of the day, the egg dye cleanup was interesting but fun for everyone, especially the children. The students had a great time and look forward to more volunteer opportunities in the future.
The Blue Line Club sponsors a variety of volunteer, recreational, educational, leadership and social events for members throughout the academic year. All Southwest Tech students are eligible to participate in the Blue Line Club. The Blue Line Club faculty advisors are Tom Kretschman and Gary Roberts.
Southwest Tech instructors provide opportunities for program students and student clubs and organizations to give back to the communities across our five-county district. Through community service students develop a sense of community within the college and throughout our district.
