Southwest Tech Employees set the bar high for employee giving
Fennimore -The Southwest Tech Foundation recently ended the employee giving campaign titled “I Heart SWTC – 50 Days of Giving” with great success. 166 full-time and 9 part-time employees participated, with 92.2% of Southwest Tech full-time employees making a gift during the campaign.
The campaign ran from November 3 to December 22 with the goal of 100% giving from full-time employees. In 50 days employees gave 716 gifts, including 15 new and increased payroll deductions, for a total of $13,654 in total gifts. “This was our second year of ’50 Days of Giving’ and we are so grateful to have more than 90% of our staff giving to the Foundation for the second year. As college employees, we see first-hand the challenges students face. This successful campaign demonstrates employee’s belief in the work we do at Southwest Tech,” said Holly Clendenen, Executive Director of the Southwest Tech Foundation.
Full-time employees were grouped into eight teams and were encouraged to reach 100% giving within their team; three of the eight teams reached 100% participation. The four focus projects of the campaign were the Charger Dream Fund, the Student Holiday Project Fund, the Southwest Tech Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Employee Support Fund.
The “50 Days of Giving” campaign is another way that the college celebrated their 50th anniversary.
The Southwest Tech Foundation was incorporated in 1980 to identify, solicit, and manage alternative funding sources to support the commitment to excellence of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
