Southwest Tech Foundation creates S.O.S. fund

Fennimore -

The Southwest Tech Foundation has created the Support Our Students (S.O.S.) Fund to support current students in the most impactful ways possible throughout the crisis.  Uses of the fund include but are not limited to:

  • Emergency grants– similar to the Charger Dream emergency grants, these grants will be awarded to students facing a financial emergency due to the COVID-19 crisis, such as an unplanned purchase of a computer or increased data needs for connectivity for online and alternative learning.
  • Purchase of technology or technology licenses to supplement and/or substitute clinical and hands-on learning. This technology would provide students hands-on experiences during a time when most students are not allowed in clinical sites.
  • Meal vouchers for off-campus meals for students who previously relied on college dining services and on-campus meal vouchers and programs like Feed a Charger and Charge Forward Breakfast Club.

“Southwest Tech continues to increase services to assist our students, and monetary support will help us be successful in this effort and in turn, help our students be successful and stay on track for graduation,” said Holly Clendenen, Executive Director of the Southwest Tech Foundation.  Donations can be made online at https://www.swtc.edu/foundation/sos or by sending a check to the Southwest Tech Foundation – 1800 Bronson Blvd. Fennimore, WI 53809.
