Women’s History Month profile | Sarah Mumm

Fennimore -
Women’s History Month

Each year, March is recognized as Women’s History Month. This year’s theme is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Health,” which recognizes the many ways in which women have provided healing and hope to humanity for countless generations.

Throughout the month we will feature our students, both in traditional and non-traditional programs, as well as those involved in athletics on campus.

What brought you to Southwest Tech?
SWTC’s reputation of offering a quality education led me to pursue furthering my education. SWTC offered the educational pathway I needed to achieve a new career.

When do you graduate? What are your plans after graduation?
I will be graduating in May 2022. My future plan is to work as a nurse in one of the great local healthcare facilities in Southwest Wisconsin.

What empowers you to complete your education in your field?
SWTC is a place that empowers me to be a great nurse. Every time I walk through the doors I am surrounded by intelligent, kind, and successful people who push me to do better and be better.

How does Southwest Tech empower you to complete your goals?
It can be intimidating as the expectations are set very high, but knowing what the clear expectations are make my goals achievable. In addition, the knowledge and experiences my instructors bring to each class help empower me.
