Why did you choose this program?
I chose the program after speaking with my former high school art teacher Mr. Gregory Bykowski. He mentioned that I should look into the Graphic and Web Design program since I have always been an artsy student. My first year attending SWTC while taking my general education classes, I switched programs and enrolled in the GWD program. Ever since, I have been in love with my classes and projects. I am very grateful to Mr. B for telling me about the programs and to my instructors Katie and Erin for teaching me!
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
I am so happy I was accepted to Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. I have so many fond memories of being enrolled here! My Southwest Tech experience has been an amazing trip, from my classmates and I having fun during our free time or working in Charley’s with Robin Hamel or with Stephenie Brown in housing with my resident advisors, co-workers Madison, Sophie, Austin, and Elle.
Are you involved in any student clubs or activities on campus?
I am involved in Student Life events. I help Robin Hamel prep for the events, and staff them if needed. I also staff Charley’s and the Fitness Center quite a lot.

What will be your job title and responsibilities?
My job title will be Assistant Monument Designer and I will be working with the senior and directors of the company in designing headstones for families and ensuring they are correctly set up for the engraving machine or prepped or manual engraving. I’ll be first tasked with assigning the designers with pet memorials as my training.
