Why did you choose your program?
I wanted to be in the medical field because I know it’s a profession that will always be around. I have also enjoyed being a part of the laboratory testing processes.
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
I have enjoyed that I am treated like an individual and not just another student. There are many faculty and staff who are willing to help in any way they can to make sure you succeed.

What will be your job title and responsibilities?
Medical Laboratory Technician. Collection of specimens and phlebotomy, as well as performing testing in chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, microbiology, blood gases, molecular testing and toxicology.
