Why did you choose your program?
I chose this program because everyone in the line trade or something related to it always has good things to say about it. Everyone I know has benefited from it in some way and it is something that really intrigued me. I have a few cousins and a brother in the trade as well and it has brought them all great success. I hope that one day I will look back and be able to say the same.
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
I enjoyed just about everything as far as the Southwest Tech experience. I enjoyed working along side new people, taking on a challenge, and also having a great instructor throughout the whole thing. Joe really cares about if his students succeed, which has been a huge help to everyone.
Where will you be employed?
I will be starting at Alliant Energy in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on June 6.
What will be your job title and responsibilities?
I will be working as a Line Apprentice, repairing and constructing distribution lines. My job also consists of fitting, repairing, and maintaining underground cables and electrical equipment.
