Why did you choose your program?
I had initially chosen nursing as my degree but after taking phlebotomy and hearing the MLT students talk I became more interested in the pre-analytical process of healthcare and decided to switch tracks into the laboratory.
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
I have enjoyed my SWTC experience very much! There are plenty of interesting and fun activities to do on campus throughout the school year. All the faculty are extremely nice and helpful as well.

What will be your job title and responsibilities?
My job title will be MLT and my responsibilities will consist of the collection and inspection of specimens to ensure quality of care for patients as well as run tests to detect and aid in diagnosis of diseases and guide the treatment process.
