Why did you choose your program?
I chose this program because I knew it would allow me the opportunity to explore different areas of agriculture and provide me with the skills and competencies necessary to pursue a career in the industry.
What have you enjoyed about your Southwest Tech experience?
The staff and students I have met at Southwest Tech have been my favorite part of my experience here by far. All of the staff members do their best to help students succeed and provide real-world experience through classroom activities.
Are you involved in any student club or activities on campus?
I am involved in the PAS (Professional Agricultural Students) club here, and I serve on the Wisconsin State PAS Officer team as the First Vice-President.

What will be your job title and responsibilities?
Associate Insurance Officer – Crop Insurance
- Main duties include:
- Processes client insurance claims working with adjusters, clients, and insurance companies.
- Focuses on client retention and cross-selling products that benefit the client.
- Generates crop insurance sales, typically acquired through client communications via office walk-in, phone, mail, e-mail or text. May infrequently visit client’s operation.
- Provides crop insurance product information to clients. Answers client crop insurance questions on applications, confirmation of coverage, acreage reports, production reports and schedules.
