Fishing Club

Purpose:
The purpose of Fishing Club is to promote student interest in fishing, teach members more about the sport of fishing, tackle use, best strategies for fishing, encourage and promote conservation of recreational resources, and to fish and share outdoor experiences with other students and anglers.

Membership:
The SWTC Fishing Club is open to everyone officially connected with SWTC – students, faculty, or staff.

Meetings:
For the 2024/25 school year, the club is meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month in Room 440 from 11:30am - 12:30pm

What we do:
During our meetings, we will have different activities and discussions related to fishing. We will also set up outings where members can meet and go fishing. There are no requirements for joining the club. The club has fishing rods and tackle that any member can use. We will also provide any tackle or bait during one of our outings.

About the Advisors:
Michael Madsen has been an employee at SWTC since 2017. He has been hunting and fishing in south central and southwest Wisconsin since a young age. Michael enjoys trout fishing in the local streams and walleye fishing the Mississippi.
Ed Anderson is a Welding instructor on campus. Ed is an avid fisherman and a great resource on the local streams and rivers.
