Spanish for the Workplace

In this course, participants will learn about Hispanic culture and basic Spanish words and phrases to improve their understanding of and communication with native Spanish-speakers in the workplace. Topics covered are individualized for each section, but may include:

Culture and Traditions
Introductory Conversations
Common Spanish Phrases
Basic Workplace Commands
Making Inquiries and Asking Questions
Expressing Conditions and Emotions
Survival Phrases Relevant to the Workplace
Safety/Emergency Related Words and Phrases

Instructors

Jessica Weber-Enloe graduated from UW-Platteville with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and English Education. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Education through UW-Oshkosh. She taught middle and high school Spanish for 9 years before transitioning into higher education at Southwest Tech. Jessica has spent time in several Spanish-speaking countries, and has a passion for teaching the Spanish language. She is excited to help bring Spanish to the local workforce!
