Welcome to Southwest Tech Foundation's online Scholarship Application!

Before filling out the application

There are a few things to know prior to filling out the application.

  • Section three of the application requires you to answer three short answer questions. It is highly recommended that you prepare these answers prior to starting the application. Grammar, punctuation, and complete sentences will be graded!

    Those questions are as follows:

    1. Professional Activities: List campus, professional, and/or civic activities you are involved in. If you are not able to be involved, explain what keeps you from being more involved.
    2. Career Objectives: What are your career goals and how does attending Southwest Tech help further your goals?
    3. Financial Need: Please explain your financial need. Include employment situation and any special circumstances.
  • You will be asked to give two references. The references cannot be related to the applicant. Example of a reference - past teacher, current instructor, or employer.

    • Reference name and email are required.
    • When the application is submitted, the references will be automatically sent a recommendation form via email.
    • Applicants will be informed via email when references have completed the reference forms.
  • A completed FAFSA is recommended for scholarships based on financial need.

  • Students applying for the Child Care Scholarship must complete the Child Care Certification Form .
