Brianna Fortney - Career Prep & Dual Enrollment Coordinator

Personal Note:

I am a graduate of Riverdale High School and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UW Oshkosh. While in college, I worked with first-generation freshmen, which ignited my passion for helping students access higher education.

As the Dual Enrollment Coordinator at Southwest Tech, I love working with students, families, and schools to expand access to college-level opportunities. Since these options were limited when I was in high school, I know firsthand how valuable they are. That experience drives my passion for guiding students and families through the process today.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, reading, listening to live music, and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams.

Job Duties:

• Support students, families, and schools in accessing dual enrollment opportunities.
• Lead students through career exploration activities as part of our Student Success Plan process
• Build strong partnerships with K-12 districts to grow and promote dual credit programs.
• Coordinate and expand innovative programs such as Start College Now, CollEDGE Up, and Transcripted Credit.
• Provide guidance and presentations to students, parents, and educators on dual enrollment opportunities.
• Collaborate with Southwest Tech faculty and staff to ensure smooth enrollment, registration, and advising for dual credit students.
• Manage grants and initiatives that strengthen career pathways and student success planning.
